Some of the best steak, scallops, crab cakes, broccoli, and carrot cake I’ve ever eaten!!! Went there twice for dinner in our 3 day trip to DC, and both times everything was beyond delicious! Staff were super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful as well!
You feel invited from the moment you walk in. With a coat check to lesson your load, you instantly feel lighter. Elegant booths with a healthy selection of wine...fine cutlery with a literal “silver platter” as the play setting. Catherine was a vibrant and extremely educated on all the options down to the finest detail. As a server, her energy added a nice touch to the meal. A well dressed professional staff ready to cater to high class clientele is headed by Bryan the manger who stopped by to make sure that we were well taken care of and everything was to our liking. Which in this man’s opinion is the mark of a top tier dinning atmosphere. Good seafood takes a soulful touch and a “fresh” mindset. Both of which get served up after a hot towel to refresh you before the main meal. The live piano played ever so softly adds a soothing, sultry feel that enhances the mood. The piano player Luke took special requests that put the cherry on top of the dinning experience. This is a must have dining experience if you were a seafood fan and find yourself a DC. (Note: Posting someone in a review takes a rare circumstance, but as I think it would help highlight who he is as a musician, I have chosen to post Luke in this review.)
An outstanding, upscale restaurant that is beautifully designed and decorated. The host and wait staff service exceeded expectations for my birthday dinner. From the delectable menu options (the lobster bisque, crab cake, and lamb chops were my favs) to the perfect champagne, it's just an all-star spot! I shall return.
Our waitress Connor!what a star! This restaurant was super busy, but things moved along seamlessly! We first walk into a beautiful array of chandeliers! I have to mention It’s smartly decorated! Our appetizers were a collaboration of fresh oysters and oyster Rockefeller! I had a mouth watering ribeye( even though I was at a seafood restaurant! lol ) along with sauteed mushroom, cream spinach and this interesting loaf of bread! You dive into it and it feels like sponge, but it was so delicious! The salmon arrangement was amazing! It was topped with shrimp along with mash potatoes! So yummy! Overall, great experience, great restaurant, a place to enjoy and have fun! Our waitress also surprised me with a birthday cake, because it was a birthday dinner that was long overdue by my friends! Thank you Mercy and Joanna for an amazing time!
Went to Truluck's for dinner for a yearly high-school friend gathering after the Wash DC Car show a few weekends ago. Wow, the seafood tower we got was amazing! We selected everything we wanted and has it custom built. Service was fantastic and the steaks & seafood apps were perfect.. If I remember correctly there was even a guy playing piano & doing some light yacht rock DJ stuff in between. The manager was super accommodating since we got in late and tables were hard to come by. He had us wait at the bar (no problemo.. had us a few old fashions) and got us a table in around 20 min. I cannot thank him and the staff enough for an amazing evening. Our friend group (HS class of 89!) only sees each other once a year these days so it meant a lot to us. We will be back!!!

Worth every penny spent here. They really want to give you diabetes with their carrot cake but it was actually the best carrot cake I've ever had. The creme brulee had the perfect texture that I loved.
This place is above and beyond. I love 5 star dinning but this place gives you everything atmospere, outstanding food pardon expression(an orgasim in your mouth), my fresh blueberry mojito was amazing and the service was awesome like they enjoyed being there. I really appreciated and recommend excellent fine dinning the best in that city.
